Alber Elbaz / Lanvin – Manifeste
Lanvin, 2015
Paris

Book concept, editing and design of publication, Alber-Elbaz / Lanvin – Manifeste, for Lanvin. The book was released in conjunction with the exhibition Maison Europeenne de la Photographie in Paris.

The book explores the inner mind Alber Elbaz, the artistic director of Lanvin (2001–2015). Covering a wide variety of topics and disparate subjects, from backstage to jealousy, the book takes the reader on an visual journey; personal anecdotes and quotes by Elbaz intersperse 148 photographs, which were captured by But Sou Lai, Katy Reiss, Juliette da Cuhna, Alex Koo and Mark Leibowitz, who all worked closely with Elbaz for many years, paying witness to his career. The typographical treatments, material selection and image edit consider aesthetics of contemporary culture, from the glossy magazine to the glossy screen, and manifest the wit and playfulness of Elbaz.
